Album: Mukhbir – The Story of a Spy Artist: Various

THIS spy thriller, which recently premiered on streaming site ZEE5, has a surprisingly good soundtrack. The full album offers an interesting variety of slow burning tracks that get better with each listen. The standout songs, include the lyrically rich, ghazal inspired Humse Toh Woh Behtar Hai and Dil Behel Jaaye, which are sung with beautiful feelings. Another good slow song worth finding is Wohi Do Kadam Ka Tha Faasla, which has a retro-flavour of decades past. Although not as good, faster numbers Shikaar and Chhaliya has decent energy. The instrumental title track is nicely composed. It will make you want to watch the espionage series set in the sixties.
