LATE STAR TABASSUM WAS A PIONEER

TRIBUTES poured in for Indian actress Tabassum (left) after she passed away aged 78. Having started acting as a child, she entertained audiences with roles in films and television. Perhaps her biggest achievement, which has been forgotten by modern day audiences, was becoming the first popular talk show host in India with Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan. She interviewed high profile people on the path-breaking show, which ran from 1972 to 1993. Bollywood legend Dharmendra summed it up best when he said, she would be remembered forever.
