Choc or­ange cake


Serves 1 Prep 5 mins Cook 1 mins (800W) plus stand­ing 27p a por­tion 1 small medium egg 2 tbsp veg­etable oil 3 tbsp milk 1 tbsp or­ange zest 2 tbsp mar­malade 2 tbsp plain flour 1 tbsp ground al­monds 1 tbsp caster sugar 3 tbsp cocoa pow­der ½ tsp bak­ing pow­der 10g dark cho­co­late (85% cocoa solids), bro­ken up into small pieces whipped cream, to serve (op­tional)

Place the egg, oil, milk, or­ange zest, salt and mar­malade in a 300ml mug and whisk with a fork un­til fully com­bined. Add the rest of the in­gre­di­ents and a pinch of salt and com­bine thor­oughly. Mi­crowave un­cov­ered on full power for 1 mins and leave to stand for 2 mins. Serve with a dol­lop of whipped cream, if you like!
