SMauve with the times... Tulip ‘Ronaldo’ and wallflowers
Galvanised steel containers with drainage holes in the bottom are ideal for a larger display. Bare-root wallflowers can be purchased in most garden centres along with bulbs for Tulip ‘Ronaldo’ (Sarah Raven, £6.50 for 15 bulbs).
Fill the container with potting compost about three quarters of the way up to the brim and place the tulip bulbs about 10cm apart, then fill up with more compost. plant the wallflowers slightly higher, leaving a bit of space around them for the tulips to come up. Give the pot a water with some liquid feed added and place in the sun or partial shade.
