The plums on my tree shrivel and are covered in a sticky substance? Why is this and what can I do about it?

fruit i can’t tell you exactly what that problem is, but it could be the fungal infection brown rot, which affects lots of different fruiting trees. the best thing would be to do some research online to see if your plum tree symptoms match brown rot and take it from there.
