Buy ready grown in pots for colour this year, or plant seed now in a propagator on a sunny indoor windowsill to have a multitude of plants ready to flower in a year’s time. For success in flowerbeds, go for hardy varieties such as the ‘Sweet’ range, which have lovely, large blooms, flowering from June through to October.
