Pot up tomatoes
It’s too late to grow tomatoes from seed, but garden centres are full of small plants for you to pot on outside in late May/early June as temperatures rise. Bush varieties like Red Alert or Tornado are good as you won’t need to stake them. Whichever type you choose, invest in a good feed to give them regular encouragement.
