Floral scent
For centuries, roses have been used for more than their sumptuous summer flowers. The strongly scented petals of the damask rose and cabbage roses are picked and distilled to produce essential oil and rose water. Rose ingredients are recognised for their anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and moisturising properties. As well as a popular ingredient in many skincare, soaps and cosmetics brands, the scent of a rose is also known to have a soothing and calming effect.
Neal’s Yard use the essence of damask rose in its Rehydrating Rose Kit
