Fittings such as 240V exterior lampposts require armoured protection around the cables against accidental damage. Have a qualified electrician install mainsoperated lighting, and as an extra precaution, attach to a Residual Current Device (RCD) with every plug-andsocket installation. This cuts power if a cable is damaged or exposed to water.
