Q I’d like to grow edibles that look attractive in the garden. Any suggestions? A i love this question! there are some awesome-looking kale varieties which add amazing colour and structure to the garden, especially in the winter. cavolo nero, Redbor and Winter Red are excellent kales which look good and give fantastic harvests.
Swiss chard is another must-have. choose ‘Bright lights’ seeds to get vivid stems in yellows, pinks and reds.
Finally, training soft fruit, such as an espalier redcurrant or a loganberry, over an archway is a really effective way of making plants both productive and beautiful.
