Open up your garden to bees, butterflies and other creatures and enjoy extra flowers too...
with gorgeous wildflowers for wildlife
Agarden without birdsong, buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies and scuttling beetles is unthinkable, but can no longer be taken for granted as wildlife increasingly comes under threat, largely due to the loss of habitats, and the use of pesticides. The wonderful thing about gardens is that we all have wildlife there to some extent or another.
To transform your garden into a wildlife haven, you need to give visitors food, water and shelter. The good news is that it’s all possible to do and still have a beautiful garden.
Growing nectar-rich flowers is key, attracting bees, caterpillars and butterflies, and moths, while trees, evergreen shrubs, hedges, green walls or roofs provide shelter. Robust plants rely on healthy soil, so there’s composting and water conservation to consider. Then there’s water itself, for drinking, bathing and providing a welcoming environment in pools and ponds.
