Silver lining
Some plants have a natural affinity to pots, and herbs are among them, often happy to spend their whole lives contained. Those with grey or silver leaves are more resilient if given a sunny sill and will favour a soil-based compost which retains moisture. Chives, lemon thyme, rosemary (upright or creeping) and oregano are ideal companions to pink geraniums if you prefer subtle colours. Feed weekly with a proprietary feed and keep well watered.
