The prettiest roses
QWhat should I do to my roses to ensure I get a really good second flush of flowers?
ANot all roses produce a second flush of flowers, so first check whether yours are repeat flowerers. If they are, the best way to keep them flowering is to deadhead them regularly. Bear in mind, though, that by removing the flowers, you’re also removing the rose hips (fruits) that are attractive and last well into autumn and winter. Roses also enjoy clay soils that are nutrient rich and love a regular feed with bulky composted manure.
