Picking pots

● Choose a suitable-sized pot – too small and plants won’t have enough food and moisture; too big and the excess compost could become waterlogged, causing roots to rot.

● To ensure excellent drainage, choose a container with holes in the base and line it with pieces of broken pot or stones, then sit the pot on bricks.

● Use a multi-purpose general organic compost and water them daily during spells of hot weather.
