N0-mow lawns

If you want a lush patch of green in your garden but don’t want the hassle of maintaining a lawn, look no further than evergreen groundcover. As long as the space is not often walked on (you could use stepping stones to traverse the space), you can create the same restful look as lawn grass by using a group of the same variety. For sunny spots try: Festuca gautieri, chamomile or clover. Mondo grass (Ophiopogon japonicus), Soleirolia (mind-yourown-business) and Liriope muscari (lilyturf) are good choices for shadier spaces.
