Add some drama

-

Focusing on one colour makes a strong statement and you can use the thrill, fill and spill idea with great results.

Choose a supersized planter in the same colour as your flowers and fill it with a selection of bold blooms for a stylish coordinated look.

For a layered blue design, for example, choose spires of dark lupins, delphiniums or pompom headed agapanthus to create height and impact, then fill in with a mass of pale blue starry flowered Isotoma, scabious or love-in-a-mist, and finish with trailing lobelia to add a pretty under-layer.

You can take the idea a step further too by grouping together more pots planted up in the same colour theme.
