Growing collection

-

I’d like to have more plants in my home, but

I’m pushed for space. Where is the best place for them? Some areas in the home are referred to as ‘negative space’ because they are awkward to fill.

You can easily convert any such void with a collection of plants in a variety of heights and textures. I love to use pots of the same colour to achieve a minimal look and also provide some synergy within rooms.

This is also a perfect way to fill an empty fireplace or the

QAspace in front of one side of a patio door.

Plant stands are a creative way to introduce a range of heights to add interest to a room or corner. They can hold individual plants or you can use a shelf ladder to elevate a whole collection. They’re also good for homes with underfloor heating, where the heat would seep into the compost of floorstanding plants, confusing their seasonal rhythm.

For a more casual look, use step-stools of various heights.
