Boots closures
Boots has announced the closure of 300 stores across the UK over the next 12 months, after four already closed in 2023

Love Boots and always shop there when home .... it would be terribly sad not to have them. They are so part of us all growing up in Edinburgh and many other cities
Alex Strachan
It’s such a shame that they keep closing iconic british stores, Boots, John Menzies, Woolworths and so many others uniquely British brands for decades. The high streets are forever changing to fast food and hotels. Used to love visiting so many shops at the weekend
Kerry Hoskins
Hope Boots at Fort Kinnaird stays, but they defo need to vamp it up a bit
Van Allan
Boots were always in danger after Superdrug arrived. Boots also tend to be more expensive than Superdrug. Hopefully, there can still be at least one Boots in each city the currently have a few stores in
Laura McLachlan
Boots is an iconic institution. Shame that many large chains and supermarkets are tied up with suppliers in rigged cartels. Prices far too high and too full of plastic
Karen Hay
They will have to improve their home delivery service then because it’s slow and clunky. I’d rather buy from somewhere else instead
Liane Barr
So sad! Love Boots!
Sheila Wilson
Maybe be a bit more competitive price wise if they want to remain open. Their prices are ridiculous with Home Bargains and B&M being half their price
Trefor Williams
Huge profits yet closing lots of stores? Surely this cannot be allowed? If it does happen, it is up to the government to ensure each and every redundancy receive the absolute maximum entitlement available – out of those profits. Disgusting
Sheila Mack
I think it’s time Boots disappeared from the High Street there are too many of them just giving out prescriptions as for anything else worth buying nothing
Margaret Fowler
Shame if they close Princes Street store in Edinburgh. It’s much better than St James Centre!
Natalie La Pierre
Lol maybe do something about those ridiculous prices. Pharmacy is ok, but rest can go…
Alexander B John
Boots ain’t exactly the most competitive when it comes to prices
Heldo McWhirterr
Covid lockdown and subsequent recession, folks can’t afford such overpriced luxuries
