Mine went up 82 per cent from last year. I phoned them up and managed to bring it down, but it is still 50 per cent more.
David Thornton
Mine has just sent a letter saying it can't renew due to my car being more likely to be in a crash or the area I live in might have high crime. There has been no change in 9+ years.
Debbie Rendall
Don't stay with the same insurance company, they double your price on renewal. Go on a comparison site and you get it cheaper. You can't be loyal to a company any more.
Gary Balfour
Change every year – keep them on their toes.
Bob Peter
It's put me off learning.

Disgusting rip off merchants. Last time I paid £380, this time £1400.
Angus Clement
Doubled.

Go on the Money Saving Expert website, follow the links on car insurance, get a quote 21 days before the insurance is due, phone your current insurance provider, tell them the quoted price. If they can't match it leave and go with the MSE quote. Simples.
Dave Flynn
I did that, Dave, and the cheapest quote was £2431. Last year I was paying £331, the same company just quoted me £743 cheapest. I’ve been driving for 39 years with no accidents, full no claims, so it’s not always cheaper, as I found out, so not simples.
Jim Mcaskill
My quote has gone up this year by £149! Despite a no claims bonus for many years! C Gladioli
Cheap for me – 11 years with no accidents or claims. Andrew Douglas
