Cameron Toll roundabout to remain closed for another ten weeks with diversions in place, after major issues discovered

-

Fabulous, just what I need, 2 mile diversion every day, roads in Edinburgh are in a dangerous way just now, next car may have to be a moon buggy to get over all the craters, council should be ashamed they let them get to that state

Mark Mcdonald

Can they not open Arthur’s Seat during weekends for next 10 weeks? Shambles this weekend on Peffermill Road

Sarah Pickering

Probably all the stress that spot on the road has been put under after every single truck that’s crashed into the bridge would have transferred that force onto the road surface, with multiple bridge strikes over decades

Billy McKirdy

So glad I don’t stay up that end of the city no more!

Constant chaos at that bridge especially after a bad storm as well as downpour! Hopefully they will fix it right this time…

Appy Myers

Always great when you live right next to it and have to do a massive detour to get home

The biggest pothole in Edinburgh

Council should open up right turn in front of Costa coffee and McDonald’s one way going to old Dalkeith Road til fixed. Craigmillar Castle Road cannot cope

Derek Scott

Maybe someone with a wee bit of sense could go and remove the cones from the second lane from McDonald’s right round to the turn for Niddrie, that way traffic heading onto Dalkeith Road isn’t competing with traffic trying to get along to Niddrie/ Craigmillar etc etc and the north and eastbound traffic would be kept separate rather than being forced into one lane. But then what do I know I’m just a member of the public, how would I know more about traffic management than the supposed experts?

Justin Mackenzie

Probably turn out to be the same issue as Crewe Toll with collapsed water pipes or similar, the pipes are over 100 years old (don’t think they can cope with the usage required nowadays) needs a lot of planning and debate on who’s paying! At Crewe Toll there was the added problem of a gas pipe running along side of it went on for a year here, unfortunately looks like maybe a similar problem

Dawn Simpson Kirkland

At least it’s not on the way to the main hospital... oops. Never mind I’m sure ambulances can speed along over the humps and bumps on Craigmillar Castle Road
