Pundit tears into SPFL coach as Celtic star still unavailable

-

Another Edinburgh derby is in the books. This time, the spoils were shared, thanks to goals from Emiliano Marcondes and Lawrence Shankland – but there’s also plenty going on around the Scottish Premiership.

For example, Willie Miller is not happy with Neil Warnock's Aberdeen tenure. In fact, he has dressed down the former Sheffield United boss, ridiculing his tactics and questioning his commitment. Speaking after the game on BBC Scotland, Miller said: "The Motherwell selection with [Jamie] McGrath playing at left wingback was incredible! And I said that before the game. I'm saying, ‘What's going on here?' There seems to be an experiment every game.

"You expect any new manager to go in there and get a bounce, but there hasn't been one. And some of his comments that he's up here to have a bit of fun – that doesn't sit right. He's an experienced manager; he should know the players and have an idea of what he wants to do when he's up here."

In other news, Frank McAvennie believes that Liel Abada, who is currently ‘not in the right frame of mind to play’ football because of the conflict in his homeland of Israel, has played his last game for Celtic. Speaking to Football Insider, McAvennie said: "If I could trust him to go and play and to get all the noise out of his head, then he should play. I just don’t think there’s any way back for him now, that is it.

"I’d love to see the boy, but I haven’t got any time for people who want to bring politics into football.

"You go to games to get away from that."
