Extraordinary (Disney+, from March 6)

Last year, the British superhero sitcom made its debut on the streaming platform, just days after it was announced that a second series had already been announced. Now we’re getting a chance to see it. For the uninitiated, Mairead Tyers takes the lead role of Jen, who lives in an alternative universe in which everyone develops a special power on their 18th birthday. Unfortunately, Jen is 25 and is still waiting for hers to arrive. Now we follow her as she enrols at the ‘power clinic’, where she discovers that finding her special skill isn’t as easy as she’d hoped. To make matters worse, Jen’s private life isn’t running smoothly either thanks to her cat-turned-boyfriend (Luke Rollason) and run-ins between ex-lovers Kash (Bilal Hasan) and Carrie (Sofia Oxenham).

Full Swing (Netflix, from March 6)

The golfing documentary series produced by Netflix in association with the PGA Tour is back for a second series. The first run may have surprised some people – we expect there to be bitter rivalries and sparks flying, both among the competitors and the fans, in team sports such as football or basketball, but seeing something similar among golf’s superstars was an eye-opener; it seems the game isn’t just about long walks outside while wearing freshlyironed chinos. This time, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Tom Kim, Joel Dahmen, Matt Fitzpatrick, Alex Fitzpatrick, Wyndham Clark, Keegan Bradley, and Justin Rose, along with Ryder Cup captains Luke Donald and Zach Johnson, are the participants.

The Signal (Netflix, from March 7)

If you’ve been enjoying Apple TV+’s Constellation, this new sci-fi thriller should also float your boat (or should that be spaceship?). The four-parter hails from Germany and begins as the family of astronaut Paula look forward to her return to Earth after months away exploring the solar system. However, when the vehicle she’s travelling in suddenly disappears, her husband Sven and daughter Charlie are left distraught and distressed, wondering what could have happened to her. What’s more, they have received a terrifying and puzzling riddle from Paula – could figuring out what it means help them find her, or at least come to terms with her sudden disappearance from their lives? Florian David Fitz, who also wrote the script, stars alongside Yuan Bennett.
