STAR MAN

-

Barrie McKay

Some neat driving runs when given the chance and a super ball to Vargas for the opener. Then some individual class to set up the second. A huge boost for Hearts to have him back in this kind of formn.

Craig Gordon

Wasn’t overly busy but reacted smartly to make good saves from McCowan in the second half. Did well at the end to ensure Main didn't score.

Dexter Lembikisa

A tough battle with in-form Dodgson but handled it fairly well. Subbed after an hour.

Kye Rowles

Had the task of Bakayoko and you wouldn't have noticed the towering frontman in the game, thanks to the work of the Socceroos defender.

Stephen Kingsley

Solid and experienced presence in the centre of defence. Spared handball frustration by VAR.

Alex Cochrane

A no fuss performance. Contributed going forward and didn't offer Dundee any glimpses of joy in their pursuit of goals.

Cammy Devlin

Impressive. Snapped into plenty of tackles and was rested after 70 minutes.

Beni Baningime

Complemented Devlin's all action style well with some subtle cleaning up and neat passes. Looked to be at his best.

Kenneth Vargas

Constant menace to the Dundee defenders who didn't seem to know what to do with him. Neat volley for the opener.

Alan Forrest

Lively in and around the box early doors. Faded slightly but real drive in the second half, and took his goal brilliantly.

Lawrence Shankland

A quieter game by his standards but still managed to score. 30 goals for club and country, remarkable.

SUB Toby Sibbick

Solid outing on the right of defence.

SUB James Wilson

Big moment for the youngster earning more senior minutes. Handled the occasion well.

SUB Aidan Denholm

Not a lot of time to make an impact.

SUB Yutaro Oda

Replaced Forrest. Not much offered to him going forward.

SUB Scott Fraser

Came into the game for McKay in a late cameo.
