A WHOLE LARDER LOVE
For me, TV cookery programmes are like a comfort blanket. After a long day at the office, there’s nothing I like better of an evening than settling down on the sofa with a steaming mug of tea in the company of Jamie, Mary or, the reigning queen of the kitchen as far as I’m concerned, Nigella. Her shows give me a serious case of pantry envy. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve decided to do some baking on a rainy Sunday afternoon only to discover I’m missing something essential – so it’s my dream to have a walk in store cupboard stocked with all the magic ingredients to make whatever I fancy when the mood takes me. My home might not have room for a pantry – but this stylish Padstow larder unit is the next best thing. As well as plenty of roomy shelves for your tins and other ingredients – even a Nigella-style toolbox full of liquorice – it has a smart wine rack and handy drawers which are perfect for storing all your herbs and spices and baking knick-knacks. I think that if I had one of these I could be a domestic goddess.
