Pan­tomimes are the per­fect way to bring the whole fam­ily to­gether and get into the fes­tive flow. Around the county casts are fran­ti­cally re­hears­ing to en­sure ev­ery­one has a won­der­ful night, where slap­stick com­edy and fairy­tale com­bine to cre­ate en­ter­tain­ment for all ages. Here’s our se­lec­tion of six great pan­tos not to miss:

NOR­WICH THEATRE ROYAL Jack and The Beanstalk

This year the tra­di­tional Christ­mas spirit gets a Wild West cow­boy spin on it that is sure to have the au­di­ence in stitches. The show runs from Tues­day, De­cem­ber 13 to Sun­day, Jan­uary 15, 2017.

Make sure to get your boos and hisses ready for Wayne Sleep, the Royal Bal­let Com­pany dancer who has ap­peared in An­drew Lloyd Web­ber’s Cats, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and even I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Richard Gauntlett is not just the show’s writer and direc­tor, but also stars as the Dame Nigella Trot­talot, mak­ing this his 16th year of panto here in Nor­wich. Tick­ets are £7-£21.50. King’s Lynn Corn Exchange’s pan­tomime Cin­derella prom­ises “live mu­sic, stun­ning sets, slick chore­og­ra­phy, sen­sa­tional cos­tumes and spec­tac­u­lar mu­si­cal num­bers”. The show, that runs from Fri­day, De­cem­ber 9 to Satur­day, De­cem­ber 31, is es­pe­cially per­fect for schools, with a spe­cial deal of­fer­ing tick­ets at £10 and one free teacher ticket for ev­ery 10 pur­chases. From Sun­day, De­cem­ber 11, 5.30pm to Fri­day, De­cem­ber 16, 6.30pm all tick­ets are £14.
