EDP Norfolk - - Gardening -

I had some blight on my box plants last year which I removed, but this year it is much worse. How can I control it? With the wet spring and early summer, fungal diseases have been prevalent this year. Box blight, which is difficult to control, has been a particular problem - it is very important to remove and destroy infected material as soon as it is seen. Also clear infected leaf litter which can harbour the disease for many years. There are fungicides available containing tebuconazole which can help control the disease. Another alternative is to replace the box with a plant such as Ilex crenata - a small leaved Japanese holly - which looks very similar to box and can be used as topiary or hedging.
