SSAFA Burns Night Supper

EDP Norfolk - - Society Diary -

A Burns’ Night supper held at the Army Reserve Centre, Norwich, raised nearly £2,500 for SSAFA, the armed forces charity. The haggis was piped in under claymore escort and addressed by Captain Tam Steele. At the end of the meal the lassies and gentlemen were toasted, Jim Murchie gave a fascinating insight into the bard’s life and the evening was rounded off with Scottish dancing to a ceilidh band. Sponsorship prizes were provided by Aviva, Humpty Dumpty Brewery and the Police Federation Hotel.
