The count­down to this year’s EDP Nor­folk mag­a­zine Food and Drink awards has be­gun. The awards cel­e­brate the very best of the county’s food and drink pro­duc­ers, restau­rants, pubs, cafes and lo­cal food heroes.

Spon­sors and sup­port­ers of the awards, now in their 18th year, met for a break­fast launch at Brasted’s Res­tau­rant in Fram­ing­ham Pigot.

For­mer EDP Nor­folk ed­i­tor Angi Kennedy thanked ev­ery­one for their help and sup­port in mak­ing the 2016 awards such a re­sound­ing suc­cess, and new ed­i­tor Do­minic Cas­tle reaf­firmed the mag­a­zine’s com­mit­ment to driv­ing the com­pe­ti­tion on to ever higher lev­els.

Nick Mills, Brasted’s man­ag­ing di­rec­tor, spoke about the huge pos­i­tive im­pact the awards have for ev­ery­one who takes part and how the event has be­come a key part of the so­cial year.

The of­fi­cial launch hap­pens in April but al­ready spon­sors are snap­ping up the op­por­tu­nity to be­come in­volved in one of the big­gest dates on the county food and drink cal­en­dar.
