BY GEORGE, HE’S IN CHARGE
Warwick St Social, in Norwich’s Golden Triangle, has a new face in charge of the kitchen; local chef George Dack. George, aged 24, was raised in Norwich and still lives in the city.
He watched the venue being transformed into Warwick St Social, recognising its potential, so was delighted when approached by chef patron Daniel Smith to head the kitchen team.
George trained at Norwich City College, was Pastry Chef of the Year in 2011 and a finalist in Young Seafood Chef of the Year 2012 before spending time in France learning about typical French cuisine.
George loves working with fresh local ingredients. “Living in Norfolk I’m spoilt for choice such as the famous Cromer crabs, Norfolk quail and Nurtured in Norfolk’s micro cress and edible flowers.”
Daniel said: “Developing our people is so important to us. The key to success in any business is the quality of the people who operate it, they are the business.” Business partner Greg Adjemian added: ”We’re fortunate that Norfolk has some top talent for us to choose from when recruiting for our team.”
