If you’re in an am­a­teur choir and you fancy a night in the lime­light then this could be your big chance.

All am­a­teur choirs based in or around Nor­folk can en­ter a com­pe­ti­tion to per­form live at the Great Bri­tish Prom at Blick­ling Hall on Au­gust 12, singing

Jerusalem with the Na­tional Sym­phony Or­ches­tra, un­der the ba­ton of An­thony Inglis, so­prano An­nette Wardell, and star vo­cal group Only Men Aloud.

This once-in-a-life­time com­pe­ti­tion is open to all am­a­teur choirs in or around No­folk. As this will be an evening per­for­mance all choir mem­bers must be over 18 years of age.

Visit www.greatbri­tish­ choir-com­pe­ti­tion, fill in the form and post a one-minute video of the choir singing a song of their choice by April 29.

A short­list of five choirs will be an­nounced on May 8. An­thony Inglis will have the fi­nal de­ci­sion on the winning choir, tak­ing into ac­count the num­ber of likes each mem­ber of the short­list re­ceives on The Great Bri­tish Prom’s Face­book page. The winning choir will be an­nounced on June 14.
