A joy­ous show, Mon­day’s Child is a po­etic story of the unique bond be­tween a lit­tle girl and an old woman suf­fer­ing mem­ory loss. This sen­si­tive, imag­i­na­tive yet funny story ex­plores how we make and store mem­o­ries as we grow up and dis­cover the world; how these shape who we are, and how they help us to meet the chal­lenges of grow­ing old. Bud­ding film mak­ers and an­i­ma­tors join MagiMation! Over two days par­tic­i­pants will make a story, models, and char­ac­ters, then learn how to bring them to life with an­i­ma­tion. Par­tic­i­pants will learn new skills in­clud­ing com­puter pro­grammes, stop-mo­tion an­i­ma­tion and sound record­ing. All styles of an­i­ma­tors are wel­come – plas­ticine, model or drawn. Film maker Tim Ed­wards leads the work­shop but the an­i­ma­tors are in con­trol of their own film. A copy of the film will be sent out a few weeks af­ter the work­shop.
