THE LIMES AT LITTLE MELTON
April sees the launch of local house builder Abel Homes’ latest site: The Limes at Little Melton, which offers a stunning range of 28 contemporary, energy-efficient two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes
JUST six miles south west of Norwich, secluded Little Melton is a lovely location which conveniently connects the city and the countryside. Just a mile from Norwich’s southern bypass, the city centre is 19 minutes’ drive, whilst the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich Research Park and the University are all close by.
Yet Little Melton retains its village feel, complete with shop, pub, pre-school and primary school, as well as a thriving village hall and lively programme of social events. From here it is just 45 minutes to the coast.
The Limes is named after a special Jubilee lime tree planted close to the site by the vicar of Little Melton in 1887, to mark Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. The site is situated near the village hall, located next to a playground, football pitch and tennis court.
Offering generous sized plots, the mix of houses and bungalows are designed for modern day living, with ‘fibre to the premises’ broadband fitted to every home. All of the new homes will have the top ‘A’ rating for energy efficiency, including features such as photovoltaic solar panels, tripleglazed windows and high levels of insulation.
The new homes all come with fitted appliances and floor coverings throughout, with the three, four and five-bedroom homes featuring underfloor heating on the ground floor for comfort, convenience and energy efficiency.
As part of the development, Abel Homes is creating a public open space on the site, and – as the family-owned firm does on all its sites – will commission a piece of public artwork to provide a focal point for the new community.
