A Norfolk marmalade producer has proved that its products have great a-peel by scooping four medals, three gold, at the prestigious World’s Original Marmalade Awards.
Happisburgh-based Ollands Farm Foods won gold awards for its Seville orange marmalade, lemon and herb marmalade and their lime and chilli marmalade, and silver for its Seville and whisky marmalade.
“All our products are handmade in small batches in our own kitchen. When you commit to the traditional methods we use, you do get fantastic quality, but it’s tough! It’s fantastic to be recognised on an international stage – all the hard work has paid off,” said owner Mary Ann Stuart. “I’m particularly pleased with the wins for the lemon and herb and lime and chilli marmalades. We’ve only introduced these within the last year after months of taste tests, trial and error.
“They’re a bit of a departure from traditional breakfast marmalades.” www.ollands-farm-foods.co.uk
