The peo­ple be­hind Bia Kitchen – the pop­u­lar ve­gan street food stall on Nor­wich Mar­ket - have opened The Tipsy Ve­gan res­tau­rant and cock­tail bar in the heart of the his­toric Nor­wich’s Lanes on St Bene­dict’s Street.

Cheryl Mul­lenger, who mas­ter­minds the recipe de­vel­op­ment at Bia Kitchen and now also for The Tipsy Ve­gan, said: “We’ve come up with some ex­cit­ing new dishes which are some­times over­looked in ve­gan cook­ing. Our mis­sion has been to cre­ate fun and so­cial dishes that in­spire and con­firm that you don’t have to miss out when eat­ing ve­gan food”.

Cheryl and busi­ness part­ner Michelle McCabe cham­pion lo­cal pro­duce where pos­si­ble and re­cruited head chef Jamie Hether­ing­ton to put to­gether a dessert menu which in­cludes treats like gin & blue­berry cheese­cake and chocolate and salted caramel tart served with vanilla ice cream.

“Many peo­ple don’t re­alise that var­i­ous cock­tail in­gre­di­ents, in­clud­ing the ac­tual spir­its, are of­ten not ve­gan, so we’ve mas­ter­minded some re­ally great alternativ­es that are suit­able for ve­gans, with­out com­pro­mis­ing on taste,” said Cheryl.

Knowhere Spe­cial Cock­tail Bar in Lon­don has helped de­velop the ve­gan cock­tail menu which in­cludes up­dated clas­sics such as: whisky sour, sum­mer julep, old fash­ioned, gin ge­nie and house saz­erac.
