A PROFESSIONAL YET FRIENDLY SERVICE IN THE HEART OF THE CITY
Who could believe PAULA GUNDRY and her team have been on Westlegate in Norwich for over a year now, having just celebrated by hosting a well attended evening of wine tasting with Harper Wells, and canapés with some of their valued clients.
“Westlegate has become a focal shopping point for those wishing to find something a little different” says Paula. “An area with it’s own individuality. I’m extremely proud to have been the first Interior Design business in the area, changing the face of Westlegate, which has become a vibrant part of the Norwich shopping scene”.
“It’s amazing how the time has flown” says Paula, who’s business and team of interior designers has grown over an eight year period. “Due to demand by our clients, our business has expanded and developed to offer additional products and services. To showcase this we have recently designed and installed a selection of our hand built bespoke work which includes a kitchen area, a boot room and a sample of our dressing room wardrobes, to give our clients an idea of the range of design we can offer. These and a selection of bathroom cabinetry and vanity units are just a small selection displayed in store”.
“We’re proud to say that all of our cabinetry is hand made in the UK by our own craftsmen, and constructed using traditional methods such as dovetail joints and made from a variety of timbers. Whilst designing, we draw from our huge selection of unusual wall and floor tiles and stones. Even leather flooring which is available exclusively to our design clients. Our clients are often spoilt for choice, making our guidance and help a crucial part of the design process”.
“We recently completed a beautiful family bathroom for clients on Newmarket Road, for whom we have worked for
on many of their rooms over a three year period. Initially they were referred to us, and we created designs and supplied every element of their dining room, family room, front and rear halls, as well as master bedroom and two children’s bedrooms. This included carpeting, wall coverings, lighting, paint and furniture as well as providing the services of our professional tradesmen”.
“Our clients returned to us feeling safe and comfortable, knowing we would look after and guide them, whilst understanding that their lifestyle and family would be included in the process. Planning and installation of the family bathroom took place over a four week period, we co ordinated every element of the design and installation”.
When asked, Paula said “no two designs are ever the same, all beginning with a simple conversation or visit to the home. A friendly yet detailed conversation helps us and our clients understand exactly what they wish to achieve. Samples of finishes for timber, flooring, colours and lighting all form part of our design service, as well as computer generated images, helping clients to visualise exactly what their home will look like, all fuelled with a dash of inspiration and lots of hands on skills and knowledge”.
Another of Paula Gundry’s specialities is soft furnishings with a vast range to choose from, such as curtains, poles and accessories by companies such as Sanderson, Harlequin, Nina Campbell, Mulberry and Brian Yates to name but a few. All of which can designed into a room along with lighting and furniture.
So, if you are not naturally creative or require a little support to develop your ideas whilst maintaining your busy life, help and guidance is at hand with every element priced in advance offering transparency all the way.
