Hales Hall for hire
Hales Hall, one of the most important and historic country houses in Norfolk, has joined the holiday lets market.
Built in 1478 by Sir James Hobart, Attorney General to Henry VII, the Grade I listed Tudor hall boasts impressive features like The Great Barn, the largest brick-built Tudor barn in the UK. Other unique properties are available in the estate’s nine-acre moated grounds.
Lucy Downing, brand manager of holiday lettings agent Norfolk Country Cottages, said: “There has been a house on the site for over 1,000 years. At one time, it was one of the greatest houses in Norfolk and where, before Blickling Hall was built, it was the Hobart principal seat.” NORFOLK
Following extensive renovation by previous owners for which it was awarded first prize by the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England in 2014, the hall, The Gatehouse and The Cottage have now been styled to attract the discerning holiday maker.
The grounds and gardens are an outstanding feature of The Hall with manicured lawns, extensive topiary, cottage garden planting and are bordered on one side by a small moat. EDP
