Strictly sofa-bound

EDP Norfolk - - Columnist -

At this time of year we secretly hope we don’t get invited out at the weekend. As a family, we are selfconfessed Strictly addicts. We plan around the programme, and if one or more of us is absent, we record it and watch it back together as soon as possible.

Obviously it’s a BBC show, but working for the BBC doesn’t help whatsoever. Every year we apply for public tickets to sit in the audience, and every year we get none. So the sofa it is! I was brought up with Brucie and

The Generation Game. It was required family viewing, in the way

Strictly is now. Thank you, Sir Bruce, for bringing us generations of pleasure. We will continue to raise a glass to you on Saturday nights.
