Jarrold has unwrapped a £500,000 revamp of the popular delicatessen in the basement of its Norwich store.
The deli is significantly larger, with more space for local food and drink, a dedicated wine and spirits area and a bar where you can enjoy a glass of wine or two and sample tapas from the deli’s cheese and cold meats.
The refurbishment programme will also see Café Metro transformed into a bistro with pizza oven. Jarrold trading director John Adams said: “Over the last two months the deli at Jarrold has been undergoing an exciting transformation. More than doubling in size, the new deli will incorporate a brand new fresh counter specialising in local foods and a carefully curated selection of produce from around the UK and Europe. The expansion of the deli has also enabled the creation of a new larger wine and spirits department, including an intimate wine bar offering a selection of food and wines from the deli.”
Jarrold deli buyer and manager Judith Finney said: “The food offering at Jarrold has become a very important part of our business. The expansion of the deli will enable us to offer more choice and a better shopping and eating experience to Jarrold customers.”
