CATCH UP WITH KEITH
If not already done dahlia tubers should be now carefully lifted, removing any dead foliage before storing them in just damp compost.
Remove any fallen leaves from garden ponds along with any dead or rotting foliage from aquatic plants.
Thoroughly check tender plants for pests and diseases and treat accordingly before bringing them in for the winter.
Check bonfires before they are lit for any hibernating or sheltering wildlife.
Parsnips can be lifted after the first frosts which will give them a better flavour.
