Best of all, mums who come with an ac­com­pa­ny­ing child, get their en­try for free.

SPE­CIAL’, de­part­ing from Wrox­ham, will take you on a guided tour of the wa­ter­ways, with the skip­per on hand to point out the abun­dant wildlife and share other in­sights and sto­ries. Mums, who must be ac­com­pa­nied by a child, get a com­ple­men­tary glass of wine and there are re­freshs­ments served on board. Adults £9, chil­dren £6, chil­dren un­der 5 free. Trips de­part at 11.30am and 2pm. Let your spir­its soar as you take a walk through the FAIRHAVEN WOOD­LAND AND WA­TER GAR­DEN at South Wal­sham as it bursts into life with the joys of spring.

Start­ing at 11am, the Moth­er­ing Sun­day walk takes you on a guided tour of the tran­quil wood­land, awash with wild prim­rose, daf­fodils and camel­lias. Every mum re­ceives a prim­rose to plant at home. The walk is free with the gar­den’s usual ad­mis­sion charge.

Take to the rails with your mum this Mother’s Day for a spe­cial trip through scenic Broad­land coun­try­side on the BURE VAL­LEY RAIL­WAY.

De­part­ing from Wrox­ham, ex­pe­ri­ence a nos­tal­gic jour­ney by steam to Ayl­sham, where you and your mum can en­joy two-course lunch in the Whistlesto­p Café be­fore head­ing back to Wrox­ham. Treat your mum to af­ter­noon tea while sup­port­ing a life chang­ing so­cial en­ter­prise project at one of Nor­wich’s three BRI­TAN­NIA EN­TER­PRISES

CAFES at Mouse­hold Heath, the Guild­hall and Water­loo Park. The cafes pro­vide of­fend­ers with em­ploy­ment, train­ing and a fresh start in life once they leave prison.
