What to look out for in the dog show of the year

CRUFTS is big busi­ness. In March, more than 20,000 dogs and 160,000 hu­mans will head to the NEC in Birm­ing­ham for a week­end cel­e­brat­ing man’s best friend. The com­pe­ti­tion has had its fair share of con­tro­versy in the past, but there’s no doubt­ing its pop­u­lar­ity and abil­ity to wow an­i­mal lovers ev­ery­where.

The beau­ti­ful White Swiss Shep­herd Dog will make its Crufts de­but in the ever pop­u­lar Dis­cover Dogs area, which in­spired us to ask the Ken­nel Club about some of the more ob­scure breeds that will be on show in each of the awards cat­e­gories this year…
