SAINTS WITH TOOTHACHE
St Apollonia, the patron saint of people suffering from toothache, features in a day of saints and shrines led by dentist and church historian John Beal. An A to Z of how the saints are shown in church art will be followed by a half day on the shrines, pilgrims and miracles of medieval England, paying particular attention to the saints said to cure toothache, and representations of them in East Anglia.
The sessions are £15 each at the new Centre for Parish Church Studies, housed in the ancient church of St Martin at Palace Plain, Norwich. Book at nhct-norwich.org
