Deadhead lupins as soon as the flowers fade to encourage more blooms.
If not already done greenhouses should be shaded to prevent plants becoming stressed with the intense light and high temperatures in summer.
Lift and divide and replant any large congested clumps of bulbs as their leaves yellow; this will keep them blooming well next year.
Cut back to the ground the faded flower stems of Delphiniums to ensure a second flowering in late summer.
