• In a nut­shell: Grade II* listed El­iz­a­bethan hall now set in four acres. Built 1560s by fam­ily of Thomas God­salve, stew­ard to Henry VIII and wealthy enough to have his por­trait painted by Hol­bein. Re­mod­elled (1600) by Sir Thomas Spooner. Di­vorced from farm in 1970s.
