New be-gin-ings

It’s get­ting hard to keep up with all the new gins spring­ing up around Nor­folk. We had Boadicea from Wild Knight’s Steph and Matt Brown last month; now there is also a rather good rhubarb gin from Ar­changel Dis­tillery near Fak­en­ham; we sam­pled it at the Royal Nor­folk Show and, even though it was only 9.45am, found it very good in­deed.

Another new­comer is Whata­hoot, a quirky name for a very tasty gin dis­tilled ‘with hints of lo­cal laven­der and sam­phire.”

There’s also a new one on the hori­zon from one of our best-known lo­cal dis­tillers... bet­ter get a good stock of tonic in.
