From concept to completion

Inspiring clients to see the potential in their interiors

EDP Norfolk - - PROMOTION -

It all started with an inspiration visit, and now one of Paula Gundry’s clients is relaxing in a room which oozes contemporary style while meeting all their needs for storage, entertainment and comfort.

It was a fantastic space – a converted double garage in a barn conversion – and the brief was simple: the clients wanted a fire and a TV on the wall, with some form of cabinetry for storage and display whilst making the most of the amazing view into their woodland garden.

Paula’s initial visit helped the clients become aware of just how much potential the room actually had, which led to a full room design and the creation of a truly beautiful space.

“The clients had been looking at classic cabinetry, but the rest of the house was contemporary,” says Paula. “We were able to inspire them to see what the space could be.

“Through speaking to the clients we could see that the plans had to be subtle yet interesting, while creating a sense of calm and peace. Numerous detailed designs allowed them to consider the options, alongside swatches of fabrics for curtains and furniture, wall colours, flooring and various solid and wood veneer options, not to mention the paint finish options we proposed for the cabinetry.

Through our full design and build service we can ensure that the quality of what we create is perfect.

“The end result is a world away from what the clients had initially considered prior to our advice and guidance. It’s all about considering a room as a whole: the furniture, lighting, flooring, rugs, curtains and even the fire and media element - the smallest of details can make or break an interior.”

Paula’s in-house cabinetry makers created a stunning wall of open shelving, with base units providing much-needed storage to keep the uncluttered and ordered feel of the room.

A built-in media station also allowed the television to be a focus in the room only when needed, and tucked away on a bracket when it’s not. This area is also future-proofed, with changes in technology easily accommodated in the clever panelling system and hidden spaces for equipment.

“We’re passionate about delivering the whole process, from concept to completion,” says Paula “The clients were away on holiday during the majority of the project, and we dressed the room for that ‘wow’ moment when they returned home to the completed room, which they certainly weren’t expecting.

“Going the extra mile and attention to detail are so important to our clients and that makes all the difference.”
