Professions: Gillie is an interior designer and property developer.

Favourite room: At Christmas the dining room and adjoining kitchen. It’s where everybody gathers.

Favourite local shop: Thornham Deli, always worth a visit.

Favourite part of the county: Going to see the Royals at Sandringham over Christmas.

Favourite day out: As a lover of history and buildings it has to be Blickling Hall, especially at Christmas, for the way they decorate everything and the tremendous atmosphere.

Favourite waste of time: Sitting in my lovely garden on a summers evening.

Favourite walk: The beach at Holme-next-the Sea. Wonderful for walking.

Favourite pub/cafe/picnic: The Gin Trap at Ringstead. A proper village pub for village people.

Hobbies: I love both classical music and jazz, from Ella Fitzgerald to Mozart. Also watching films.
