Professions: Emma is an interior designer, founder and creative director of Kelling Designs. Nicholas is a farmer.
Favourite room: The outside summer dining and sitting areas in the courtyard adjoining the party barn. Also the master bedroom, so peaceful.
Favourite item: The bed in the master bedroom.
Favourite interiors shop: My own and Bombay Sprout.
Favourite other shop: The ones at Creake Abbey. Favourite part of the county: Here to Holkham.
Favourite day out: Burnham Market.
Favourite waste of time: Re-arranging furniture in the house. Drives Nicholas mad.
Favourite walk: Holkham beach. Just keep walking and you are on your own.
Favourite cafe or restaurant: Wiveton, great food and views. No1 Cromer is great for fish and chips.
Hobbies: Holidays. Skiing in the French Alps, or travels to India, from where we source a lot of the cushions and rugs for Bombay Sprout. We go twice a year, mainly to Rajasthan.
Most magical moment in the county: As a patron and trustee of East Anglian Children’s Hospice, I organised a dinner for 1,000 at Houghton Hall, in the presence of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
