UEA LITERARY FESTIVAL
Hear eight fascinating writers talk about their latest work at the University of East Anglia’s litereary festival – beginning with former singer-songwriter Tracey Thorn on February 13. Tracey spent 17 years in the duo Everything But The Girl and has since released three solo albums, a movie soundtrack, several singles and two books, including the bestselling memoir, Bedsit Disco Queen. Her latest memoir, Another Planet: A Teenager in Suburbia, is published this month.
Also this month, novelist Tessa Hadley will be talking about her work on the 20th and Man Booker Prize winner Marlon James will be at the UEA on February 27.
His third novel, A Brief History of Seven Killings, won the Man Booker Prize, Marlon is an English professor in Minnesota and his latest novel Black Leopard, Red Wolf, is the first of a trilogy.
All events are at UEA’s Lecture Theatre 1 at 7pm and profits are used to fund scholarships for UEA writing students.
