Hear eight fas­ci­nat­ing writ­ers talk about their lat­est work at the Univer­sity of East Anglia’s litereary fes­ti­val – be­gin­ning with for­mer singer-song­writer Tracey Thorn on Fe­bru­ary 13. Tracey spent 17 years in the duo Every­thing But The Girl and has since re­leased three solo al­bums, a movie sound­track, sev­eral sin­gles and two books, in­clud­ing the best­selling me­moir, Bed­sit Disco Queen. Her lat­est me­moir, An­other Planet: A Teenager in Subur­bia, is pub­lished this month.

Also this month, nov­el­ist Tessa Hadley will be talk­ing about her work on the 20th and Man Booker Prize win­ner Mar­lon James will be at the UEA on Fe­bru­ary 27.

His third novel, A Brief His­tory of Seven Killings, won the Man Booker Prize, Mar­lon is an English pro­fes­sor in Min­nesota and his lat­est novel Black Leop­ard, Red Wolf, is the first of a tril­ogy.

All events are at UEA’s Lec­ture Theatre 1 at 7pm and prof­its are used to fund schol­ar­ships for UEA writ­ing stu­dents.
