EDP Norfolk - - GARDEN GUIDE -

March is a good time to re-pot pot bound plants. They will grow away and fill the new soil quickly as the weather warms up.

Keep a look out for snails and slugs attacking new growth and treat with your preferred method.

Although it’s only March watch out for lily beetle on Fritillaria imperialis (Crown imperials) as they can quickly spoil leaves and flowers.

After tidying perennial borders give plants a boost with slow release feed and a good thick layer of mulch to help prevent weeds and retain moisture during the summer.
